2008 Activity
In 2008, Ruby Red Resources is focusing its efforts on its exploration program. Ruby Red will launch an expanded program and intensify its search with diamond drilling on several properties. Extensive drilling is planned for the Eddy, Zeus, Vine and Spirit Dream properties.
Recent exploration work by Ruby Red and previous work by others have documented larger scale patterns for mineralization and new exploration models for the possible gold deposit types including structurally-hosted gold with similarities to Nevada gold deposits and intrusion-related gold as in the Tintina Gold Belt in the Yukon and Alaska. In 2006, National Instrument 43-101 compliant reports (authors Richard T. Walker, P. Geo and Paul Ransom, P.Geo) were completed on Ruby Red’s Eddy and Super Group properties. Both reports recognized the potential of the respective properties and recommended additional exploration.
Ruby Red’s exploration program will also explore for lead-zinc-silver on several properties with potential for Sedex-style or Vein-style deposits.
In 2008, Ruby Red is also seeking opportunities to further increase its land position of precious and base metal mineral properties of merit in the Cranbrook area.
In 2008, Ruby Red Resources will focus on currently-defined gold targets, one copper target and one exceptional PbZnAg target.
- Drilling is permitted for at least 5 projects.
- Negotiations are underway for the acquisition of an adjacent gold project with a small drill-defined resource and exceptional potential to expand the resource.
- Extensive work is planned to bring on other projects within the claim blocks to a drilling stage.
